Who is Chad?

Chad Conway is a Graduate of Duxbury High School. He will be attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology during the fall of 2008. He plans to major in Electrical Engineering with a minor or double major in Mechanical Engineering.

After college Chad plans to look for a job Designing electric vehicles for small or large automotive manufacturers. His goal is to become the head engineer of a car company that produces the best electric vehicles in the largest amount of vehicle markets(compact car, sports coupe, luxury sedan, truck, SUV, minivan, utility van, ect.). He strongly believes that electric drive is the most efficient and practical alternative to internal combustion engines(ICE's). In the near future batteries and super capacitors will be capable of producing the same amount of energy needed to give the exact characteristics(if not better characteristics like acceleration, total distance on a charge, charge time) as ICE's have today.

Chad has been involved in many projects. During the summer of 2007, he interned at the MIT Media Lab. He worked with the Smart Cities Group designing the City Car. His other big projects include, his 1980 Comuta-Car Rebuild and his Eagle Scout Project. Chad has also done extensive work on the Shopbot, a robotic router.

Chad is always thinking about new designs and ideas. He draws inspiration from life and previously designed technologies. He uses hand drawing and CAD software to design his ideas to remember them and share with others in a virtual three-D form.
