Wow seems like a while since I have posted because I have gotten so much done. First thing was that I have installed a windshield wiper fluid pump, push button, tank, and new nozzle. I fund a universal kit at Auto Zone and was able to install the tank right on the existing holster for the old windshield washer fluid bag. Next I have also installed a cigarette lighter/12v outlet to charge my phone or to be able to plug my power adapter in in order to plug numerous house hold items in my car. Additionally, I added another 12v battery in parallel to the one I already had in order to increase amperage to be able to more realistically use the cigarette lighter. Also I had been having a problem of when the headlights were on the blinkers would not turn on, the higher amperage of two batteries fixed the problem. Another addition or change to the car was a new 48 volt charger that works great. it produces a very small amount of heat and charges the car pretty quick. Another thing is that I now have eight batteries so i finally have my full 48 volts. I have insured and registered the car. So I am finally driving it to school everyday. Wicked sweet. This past weekend I took the car as my ride to prom and I won the award for best ride! It was awesome, it beat out porches and BMW's. I have also just tonight in fact installed two 4-point racing harnesses to replace the archaic seat belts. The thinking is to keep you body from moving that much because the role bar and windshield are extremely close to your forehead, would be a bad way to go. With these harnesses there is no way to even come close to hitting either and you are much safer. I'm looking forward to my next work, getting the volt meter hitched up, installing speakers and a radio, installing a new lock in the drivers side door(so that the car can be completely locked), moving the 12volt batteries to the exterior batter boxes and closing up the under seat compartment in order to keep the chargers and controllers dry, away from battery acid, and dirt. Additionally, I am in the process of making some contacts to help me manufacture some new battery box tops because the ones I have know do not lock nor do they cover the batteries completely.
